July 2010
The Guide was performed by the U.S. Army Medical Command Band at the 2010 Texas Bandmasters Association Convention at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

April 2010
Taylor finished Concerto for Horn & Orchestra.

April 2009
Three of Taylor's concert band works, Condition Red, The Glass Prison, and The Guide will be published by C. Alan Publications. C. Alan Publications will also be publishing a marimba solo, The Ones Who Helped to Set the Sun.

March 2009
Taylor has just completed his first concert band work for young bands, A Finlandian Celebration. The work was commissioned by the Finland Middle School Symphonic Band, under the direction of John Selhorst.

January 2009
Euphonium soloist, Pat Stuckemeyer and the University of Arizona Symphonic Band will be recording the Concerto for Euphonium. The recording will be released in the fall of 2009.

The Guide was performed by the Bowling Green State University Concert Band at the 51st Annual Band Music Reading and Directors Clinic. The Concert Band was led by Dr. Carol Hayward.


September - October 2008
Altered States is Taylor’s first original marching band score. It was commissioned by the Worthington Kilbourne High School Marching Band, under the direction of Phil Day. Altered States was performed by the group at competitions in the fall of 2008. For more information about Altered States, go to KilbourneBands.org.

May 2008
Taylor was the composer-in-residence at Penfield High School, in Penfield, New York. After spending several days working with the High School Wind Ensemble, Taylor led the group in a performance of The Guide.

April 2008
Josh Cvijanovic gave a performance of the Concerto No. 1 in D Minor, for marimba, at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.

Taylor was awarded First Prize in the Penfield Music Commission Project’s 2008 Composition Contest.

Taylor completed Celtic Visions, a suite for solo percussion & orchestra. The work was written for Dame Evelyn Glennie. The premiere if the work is still to be determined.


February 2008
The Bowling Green State University Trombone Choir performed The Tip of the Sword at the 2008 Ohio Music Educators Association Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Concerto for Euphonium, Sonata for Tuba, and Frontier for Freedom were published by Potenza Music and are distributed by: Just for Brass
